Azelio has the capacity to take the role of a renewable baseload, replacing diesel that is used today, with a zero-emission solution that produces electricity at half the cost of diesel power. Azelio also has the capability of addressing the resiliency in more mature renewable energy markets. Renewables are creating an overload in existing grids, such as in California, with its intermittent supply patterns. This creates power breakdowns and natural catastrophes. Azelio can balance the output and match demand through storing energy from day to night or from one day to the other, thereby also increasing the productivity from renewable solutions and the use of clean power in the grid. Azelio is using recycled aluminum as a storage medium. It does not require any refilling for maintained capacity as opposed to thermal storage using salt or water. It can be used over and over without any degraded capacity, and it does not use any scarce minerals. This is solving the problem of energy storage solutions requiring constant refilling of salt or water, or batteries that, in many cases, are using conflict minerals.
