Sustainability Engineer

Who are we?

Tapio is a fast-growing start-up headquartered in Brussels. Our mission is to help companies transition to a low carbon economy. We've developed a carbon management software that provides companies with the toolbox they need to understand and act on their carbon emissions.

What are we looking for?

You'll be the link between our customers and our product. On one side, you will provide high-quality consultancy advice to a wide variety of clients on climate topics. On the other side, you will work with our product team to identify our customer's problems and help solve them. 

 

Your responsibilities

 

You, together with your team, will be responsible for the development and overall management of consulting and product:

 

Consulting

 

  • Sustainable supply chains
  • Corporate supply chains risks
  • Climate targets - emission reductions - SBTi
  • Low carbon ecosystem creation
  • Lead and directly manage teams of consultants in a multi-stakeholder and multi-geographies context
  • Interact and build relationships with multinational corporate clients 

 

Product

 

  • Product methodology and framework 
  • Customers needs and feedbacks
  • Prototype testing
  • Strategic developments 

Preferred experience

 

You are

 

    • Carbon expert
    • Proven experience in implementing sustainability in supply chains for multinational consumer goods organisations
    • University degree, ideally at a Master’s level or higher, in a sustainability-related discipline
    • Extensive experience in sustainability consulting with large international corporate clients, or extensive experience working as a Sustainability Manager for large multinational corporates
    • Proven project management skills - particularly implementation, and the ability to guide project teams in a multi-stakeholder and multi-geography context
    • Excellent writing skills, with expertise creating and reviewing high-quality proposals
    • Fluent in English, and it is highly desired that you are fluent in at least one other language (relevant to the client base in your country of residence)
