Tapio's mission is to help companies transition to a low carbon economy. Tapio is a carbon management software which provides companies the toolbox they need to understand and act on their carbon emissions.

What are we looking for?

Tapio is looking to hire a React developer intern for 6 months, with an opportunity to become full-time.

We are a fast-growing start-up tackling climate change by providing companies the toolbox they need to manage their carbon emissions.

You’ll be part of a cross-functional team that’s responsible for the full life cycle development, from conception to deployment, of our carbon management software and its features.

Preferred experience

This is a great opportunity for front-end trainees or young graduates.

Responsibilities:

• Developing new user-facing feature using ReactJS
• Building reusable components and front-end libraries for future use
• Translating designs and wireframes into high quality code
• Optimizing components for maximum performance
• Coordinating with various teams working on distinct layers

Skills:

• Good understanding in JavaScript, including DOM manipulation and ES6
• Experience with HTML / CSS (we use Tailwind)
• Thorough understanding of ReactJS and its core principles (including Hooks)
• Familiarity with RESTful APIs 
• Familiarity with code versioning tools (Git)
• Ability to understand business requirements and translate them into technical requirements

Non-technical skills:

• Team player
• Excellent time-management skills
• Good listener
• Great interpersonal and communication skills

The candidate must be available to come at our office based in Brussels on a daily basis (max 1 day remotely).
