What are we looking for?

Tapio is looking to hire a  Front-end developer to bring its climate applications to the next level. 

We are a fast-growing start-up tackling climate change by providing companies the toolbox they need to manage their carbon emissions.

You’ll be part of a cross-functional team that’s responsible for the full life cycle development, from conception to deployment, of our carbon management software and its features.

Your responsibilities

• Developing new user-facing feature using ReactJS
• Building reusable components and optimizing them for maximum performance
• Translating designs and wireframes into high quality code
• Coordinating with various teams working on distinct layers
• Testing new features with the right tools

Preferred experience

Your skills

• Excellent proficiency in JavaScript and ReactJS
• Experience with CSS (we use Tailwind)
• Good proficiency using Typescript
• Familiarity with RESTful APIs (we use Django Rest Framework)
• Familiarity with code versioning tools (Git)
• Ability to understand business requirements and translate them into technical requirements

Nice to have

• Experience in frontend testing (Jest, Cypress)
• Knowledge of Python
• Familiarity with SQL databases (we use PostgreSQL)
• Understanding of common front-end development tools such as Webpack and NPM

Non-technical skills 

• Team player
• Excellent time-management skills
• Good listener
• Great interpersonal and communication skills

The candidate must be available to come at our office based in Brussels on a daily basis (with possibility to work remotely).
